My name is Erin Stilwell, and I am a native Arizonan. I grew up in the small town of Lake Havasu City, and started dancing at Miss Ann’s School of Dance in 1983. I was classically trained in ballet and pointe, and performed in many shows and musical theater productions over the years. I was apart of the coaching staff of a pom/dance team for 6 years, including Pinnacle High School & a Varsity Dance Team member for 4 years in high school, and loved every minute of it!
I moved to Phoenix in 2002 to pursue a Communications Degree from ASU. Go Sun Devils! After working a few years in marketing, the restaurant industry, and in news stations, I decided to go back and get my Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. I have taught here in the valley for the past 13 years, along with coaching the Varsity Dance Team at Pinnacle High School.
In 2014, my husband and I welcomed our only child, Kendall into the world. This is her third year with PDS, and seeing the joy dance has brought her, also brought me right back to my roots. I started my dance journey here with PDS this past August, and I can’t wait to continue this fall! I absolutely love this studio and all of the friends we have made here, so I am hanging up my teaching lanyard and will be here to teach dance starting again this fall. I am so excited!
